At Hathor Birth Haven
We hope to build a safe community for women seeking support and advice in a caring, non judgemental environment while providing resources, support and information for a natural and gentle approach on birth, parenting and living.
Our information and articles are evidence based to give information on optimal health and well being for ourselves and our children.
Evidence shows that the best and healthiest way to bring our children into the world is in a safe and natural environment with people we know and trust.
Interference and stress on the mother has been proven to halt labour and impede the normal process of birth. For this reason we encourage women to seriously consider birthing at home. This site is here to provide the information and offer the support you may need to achieve your homebirth. We do NOT shame people who choose to birth in a birth centre or hospital, although we will encourage women to read as much information, including the birth stories at this forum, to show them how normal birth is at home and how they increase their risk of complications by choosing to birth elsewhere.
All interventions lead to a cascade of further interventions which can cause your child to be born with complications which may include; trouble breastfeeding, problems with alertness and distress and can cause bonding problems and depression such as PTSD and PND in mums, not to mention risk of infection, bleeding and further surgery after a major operation like a caesarean section.
We do not support artificial milk (formula) or bottle feeding, however we are NOT here to shame people, but to support people who wish to achieve a breastfeeding relationship with their children. This can not be achieved by shaming, or causing distress on parents seeking support.
We also are here to provide parenting support and advice to those who wish to improve or simply share ideas on respectful and gentle parenting techniques.
We do NOT shame parents who are struggling to achieve a gentle approach to parenting, by enforcing how they are not reaching the expectation of other members.
People, who wish to break the cycle of abuse often set by their past generations, can NOT do this alone. They need encouragement and support from people fortunate enough to have been taught nurturing and respectful parenting techniques from their own parents.
However, we do have the right to seek professional services if we believe a child is in danger.
We do not support control crying, circumcision, bottle feeding or physical punishment, so please don’t expect us to encourage you or to support you in these methods. If these methods are the ones you feel suit you, then this forum may not the place for you. Please take this on board when joining Hathor Birth Haven.
Thankyou
